The Advent of the another
comforter depends upon the strict condition that is- Jesus has to go away from
this world otherwise the advent of the Another Comforter would not take place
at all which we can see as here under.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your
advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the comforter will not come
to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you. – John 16:7
If we observe the above verse
analytically some important points come in to light as regards to the promise
of the advent of another comforter as follows.
It is to your advantage that I go away…

According to this it is advantage
for us provided Jesus go away from this world. What is that advantage?
if I depart, I will send him to you. - John 16:7
This means what the advantage if
Jesus does go away from this world is that- the happening of the advent of
another comforter would not take place. Therefore what the condition that Jesus
put before dispels is that…
if I do not go away… -John 16:7
This means provided that Jesus
does not go away from this world what would happen?
the comforter will not come to you… -John 16:7
If Jesus would go away from this
world what the advantage is that…
God will give another Comforter… - John 14:16
According to the condition of
Jesus it is evident that until unless Jesus would go away from this world the
advent of another comforter would not take place in any way. Therefore the
condition for the happening of the advent of another comforter is that- Jesus
would go away from this world. However, if anybody imagine that the Another
Comforter may be the Holy spirit they should observe that the Holy spirit
already had descended upon Jesus while he was talking about the advent of the
another comforter. Moreover Jesus has spoken the complete gospel through the help
of Holy Spirit (Acts 1:2). Then therefore how far it is correct to say as
another comforter is Holy Spirit not observing the condition that was put by
Jesus “If I do not go away the comforter will not come to you?”
