For as the Father has life in Himself, so He
has granted the son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to
execute judgement also because he is the son of man. – John 26, 27
Not only
Jesus but we find the Apostle of Jesus to have given the authority in order to
give the judgement sitting on the twelve thrones on the day of judgement as
follows.
After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the
Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst!" Now a vessel
full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine,
put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. – Matthew 19:28
Not only in this world but Jesus does not have any powers in
heaven also!
Then the mother of Zebedee's sons came to Him with her sons, kneeling down
and asking something from Him. And He said to her, "What do you
wish?" She said to Him, "Grant that these two sons of mine may sit,
one on your right hand and the other on the left, in your
kingdom." But Jesus answered and said, "You do not know what you
ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptized
with the baptism that I am baptized with?" They said to Him, "We are
able." So He said to them, "You will indeed drink my cup, and
be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on my right
hand and on my left is not mine to give, but it is for those for whom it is
prepared by My Father." – Matthew 20:20-23
Jesus will be subject himself to God by whom he had
been bestowed the authority!
Now
when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be
subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. – 1
Corinthians 15:28
At last, Jesus will hand over the all authorities to
God!
Then comes the end, when He delivers the
kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority
and power. – 1 Corinthians 15:24
According
to the above verses it is made clear that the Authority what had been once
given by God to Jesus, he will hand over the all authorities to God. This means
the authority what had been given to Jesus by God is mere temporary basis but
not had been given permanent basis. Thus one who is not having the own powers
and authorities and one who gets the authorities from God can he ever be regarded
as God or equal to God?
All authorities that exist are appointed by God!
Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For
there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are
appointed by God. – Romans 13:1
All authorities have been given to the man also!
What is man that you are mindful of him, Or the son of man that You take
care of him? You have made him a little lower than the angels; you have
crowned him with glory and honour, and set him over the works of your
hands. You have put all things in subjection under his feet." For in
that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under
him. – Hebrews 2:6, 7
For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will,
but the will of Him who sent Me. – John 6:38
For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave
Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that
His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the
Father has told Me, so I speak." – John 12:49, 50
Thus Jesus also given the authorities in this world and heaven by God!
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authorities has
been given to me in heaven and on earth. – Matthew 28:18
Jesus had been given mere the temporary authority!
Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you
would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of
Myself, but He sent Me. – John 8:42
For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will,
but the will of Him who sent Me. – John
6:38
